The letters were mailed to the restaurants May 7, and Manley said she is waiting for a response.
"We can't wait on bigger restaurants to come to us, we need to do something to attract them," Manley said during a recent interview at DePuy where she is employed as a legal document specialist.
Manley has lived in North Webster for 22 years and moved to Kosciusko County from Anderson to live on the lake.
She says she travels to Anderson once a month where she eats at steakhouses, and when she eats at steakhouses in Fort Wayne and South Bend she sees Warsaw residents eating there.
"Those are dollars that are leaving our county that could be invested in our community by establishing a steakhouse in Warsaw," Manley said.
She suggested the steakhouse officials visit Warsaw on a weekend to see how busy restaurants are.
Manley worked with Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins' secretary Michelle Bormet to write a letter explaining why Warsaw would be a good place for a steakhouse.
Manley also e-mailed the letters to approximately 70 people she knew, including co-workers and friends, and asked them to sign their names and forward the letters to Texas Roadhouse and Logan's Roadhouse.
In the letter, Manley highlighted reasons she thinks Warsaw would be a good location for a steakhouse.
She explained Warsaw is home to Zimmer, Biomet, Medtronics, DePuy and Da-Lite Screen. She also mentions R.R. Donnelly and Maple Leaf Farms in the letter.
She also states Warsaw is conveniently located at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Ind. 15, both highly traveled areas.
