Employees in DePuy's quality and regulatory affairs department spent Friday doing team-building exercises that aided a local charity.
Around 70 DePuy employees gathered at Center Lake Pavilion Friday to build 10 bikes and donate them to Our Father's House.
Roz Morgan, executive director of Our Father's House, said the adult bikes would be given to those in need of transportation to do job hunting.
Morgan said the kids bikes will be gifted to those in need.
"Those bikes we'll give to kids who really need a pick up," said Morgan.
Jeff Kaser, worldwide director of supplier quality at DePuy, said the gathering was in line with parent company Johnson & Johnson's directive to be community-oriented."It was an opportunity for us to do something for Our Father's House, a place that helps so many people," said Carlos Causillas. "And it's an opportunity for us to help out people in the community we live and work in."
