The wife of a Warsaw dentist was arrested after allegedly punching one of the dentist's employees.
Krisce Myers, 53, of 250 EMS T5 Lane, Leesburg, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 12:16 a.m. Thursday on $1,000 bond. Myers was charged with battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor.
Krisce Myers, the wife of Dr. William Myers, went to her husband's practice on Center Street Nov. 21. She confronted a dental hygienist who was cleaning a patient's teeth.
Krisce Myers called the hygienist a liar and a cheat and asked the patient how she could let the hygienist treat her, according to police reports. Myers continued to yell and scream, telling the hygienist to get in the hallway and to get up from her chair because it was her office and that she needed to stop working.
The scuffle continued for a short time and the hygienist turned away from Krisce Myers and began working on her patient.
At that time, police reports state that Krisce Myers punched the hygienist in the face, breaking her glasses. The hygienist laid across the patient with instruments in her hand. She picked herself up and put the instrument on the table, then Krisce Myers began to punch her repeatedly.
The tray of dental instruments was knocked to the floor during the scuffle.
When Krisce Myers left the office, the hygienist found Dr. Myers locked in his office. When Dr. Myers opened the door, the hygienist saw red hand prints on his face and neck, and he was on the phone with his counselor.
The altercation lasted for approximately five minutes during a busy part of the day, police reports indicate.
Krisce Myers bonded out of KCJ Thursday and has an initial hearing Feb. 10.
