Myong S. Demorales is expected to plead guilty to three counts of bribery and one count of prostitution as a part of a plea deal.
Demorales was arrested in late February following a sting operation of the now-closed VIP-The Office Spa.The investigation started more than two years ago when Warsaw Police Department detective Tony Faucett was inspecting massage parlors in accordance with ordinances to regulate them.
The investigation culminated with the arrest of Demorales in Gwinnett County, Ga., where she had previously operated massage parlors. Demorales was booked into Kosciusko County Jail March 20 on a $200,000 bond.
According to court records, Demorales and the VIP-The Office Spa served as a front for a prostitution ring that reached all across the country.
According to the plea agreement filed last week, a charge of corrupt business influence will be dropped pending Demorales' pleas of guilty to the four other charges.
The agreement calls for the three bribery charges to be served concurrently. Demorales also will have to forfeit property seized during searches done in February.
