Debra Collier’s Celebrates National Dance Week With ‘Bring-A-Friend Week’

Posted

Students and staff at Debra Collier’s School of Dance (DCSD) are joining the nationwide celebration of National Dance Week by inviting the community to share in the joy of movement.
Through Friday, the studio will host Bring-a-Friend Week, a special event where DCSD students are encouraged to invite a friend to join them in class — completely free of charge, according to a news release from Debra Collier’s School of Dance.
“Our dancers love what they do, and this is a wonderful opportunity for them to share that excitement with their friends,” Deb Collier, owner/director of DCSD. “National Dance Week is about celebrating the art of dance and the community it creates, and Bring-a-Friend Week is a fun, welcoming way to do just that.”
Friends accompanying a student will have the opportunity to step into the studio, experience the energy of a real class, and discover the joy of dance in a supportive and encouraging environment. DCSD faculty will ensure that guests feel comfortable and confident — whether they have previous dance experience or are trying it for the first time.
Bring-a-Friend Week has become a tradition at DCSD, creating memories for both dancers and their guests. By combining the nationwide recognition of National Dance Week with this interactive event, the studio continues its mission of building community and fostering a love of the arts.
