A Cromwell woman was taken to the hospital after she wrecked her motorcycle on Ind. 15 in Claypool. According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies, emergency personnel responded to the accident just after 4 p.m. Wednesday on Ind. 15 near the intersection of Union Road in Claypool. Police said for an unknown reason, the motorcyclist – identified as Marissa M. Weese, 29, East Crooked Mile Road, Cromwell – touched the rear tire of her husband’s motorcycle – who was identified as Ryan T. Weese, 30, of the same address – and lost control. Marissa’s motorcycle fell on its side and left the west side of the roadway. She suffered abrasions to the left side of her forehead and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. While traffic slowed to allow for the initial incident, a second accident – a rear-end collision – occurred only feet from the first accident site. Driver Desa R. Simpson, 45, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake, struck the vehicle in front of her, driven by Rebecca D. Clark, 37, East Rochester Street, Akron. No injuries were reported in that accident.
