SYRACUSE – A Cromwell man is in serious condition after a car crash Tuesday night.
According to a release from the Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded shortly before midnight Tuesday to the area of CR 1000N regarding a vehicular crash.
Officers located a white 1993 Honda that had struck a tree just east of the intersection of Syracuse-Webster Road.  The driver, identified as Travis M. Mrozinski, 20, Cromwell, was found inside the vehicle bleeding profusely.  Syracuse/Turkey Creek EMS and Fire Department responded, and immediately transported Mrozinski to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, in serious condition.
Kosciusko County FACT members’ initial investigation determined that Mrozinski was travelling eastbound on CR 1000N, when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway at a high rate of speed, striking a tree on the south side of the road. Officers also determined that Mrozinski was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Mrozinski is reported to be in stable condition as of this morning. Police say the crash remains under investigation at this time.
