Posted
A husband and wife were jailed for selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

On June 6, Warsaw Police Department detectives served warrants on Ronald Eugene Rodriguez, 34, and Chanda Leea Rodriguez, 32, both of Warsaw.

Ronald Rodriguez was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail June 6 for charges of dealing marijuana, a class C felony, and probation violation.

His bond was set at $25,000 for both charges.

Chanda Rodriguez was booked in for aiding in dealing marijuana, a class C felony.

Her bond was set at $20,000.

The dealing occurred at their residence, which is within 1,000 feet of Warsaw Christian School, on South Buffalo Street, Warsaw.

Because of the proximity to the school, charges are upgraded by state statute to the class C felony. Police stated at least one incident occurred while children were in the home.
