Staff Report-
Women, Infants, and Children offices in Indiana remain open despite the federal government shutdown. This includes the Kosciusko County WIC office in the K21 Health Pavilion. All services continue and participants should still attend their WIC appointments. Contact the WIC office with any questions at 574-269-4456. In Kosciusko County, WIC serves more than 3,000 people each year, providing nutritional counseling and vouchers for nutritional food for low income families with children up to age 5, according to Michelle Boxell, Cardinal Services community relations manager. Nearly $2 million annually is brought into the Kosciusko County economy through the WIC program.
