Fall installments for Kosciusko County property taxes are due Nov. 13 for all county property owners, including those in Tippecanoe Valley School Corp.
TVSC lies partially in Fulton County. It includes Franklin, Harrison and Seward townships and the Burket, Mentone-Franklin and Mentone-Harrison taxing units. These units have not yet received their tax statements because the state did not initially approve Fulton County's tax rates.
According to an announcement from Kosciusko County Treasurer Kent Adams' office, Fulton County's tax rates now have been approved, and statements for TVSC property owners will be mailed Oct. 22.
All other taxing units in the county received their statements in early July with a first installment due Sept. 10 and the balance due Nov. 13.
Property owners have multiple options for paying their taxes. Payments can be made at the treasurer's office in the courthouse, by mailing payments to P.O. Box 1764, Warsaw, IN 46581, by credit card at 800-809-5849 or online at www.kosciuskotax.net
Several local banks also will accept tax payments from Monday through Nov. 13. Participating banks are Campbell-Fetter Bank, Farmers State Bank, First Federal Savings Bank Syracuse, Lake City Bank, Mutual Federal Savings Bank and National City Bank.
According to Chief Deputy Treasurer Cindy Nolten, payments made by mail provide the quickest turn-around in getting tax money distributed back into local cities, townships and schools in the county to fund services to public.
