The Kosciusko County Commissioners held their first meeting of 2012 this morning.
In a brief meeting, Commissioner Bob Conley was elected president while Ron Truex was named vice president.
The commissioners approved a request to store computers off-site at the work release program building.
The amount approved, $33,000, was already budgeted for 2012.
The commissioners also approved a position change in the health department creating an office manager position.
The suggested pay increase for the new position is $1,400 a year.
The commissioners approved the position but the county’s wage committee will end up approving the final wage increase, if any.
County Highway Superintendent Scott Tilden gave the commissioners an update on his department’s replacement of old trucks.
Tilden also said he is continuing to work on a detour plan for when the Claypool overpass is closed in February.
The commissioners’ next meeting is Jan. 17 at 9 a.m.
The commissioners meet in the old courtroom at the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
