Before the county commissioners made its decision on Jerry Clase, the commissioners approved a tool for county offices to use.
As reported Tuesday, the commissioners decided to let Clase keep his job as animal control officer after investigating allegations against him.
The commissioners approved street-level and lakeside photography to be taken by a company called Yada.
At the last commissioners meeting, County Assessor Laurie Renier said the technology would better allow her department to assess properties.
Sheriff Rocky Goshert and David Rosenberg from dispatch said they find the technology useful as well.
The cost of the project is $103,000 and it was already budgeted for reassessment.
County Recorder Deb Wright asked for and was approved to use PayGov to process credit and debit cards.
It also will be used by the auditor, treasurer and clerk's office.
Wright said using PayGov will be no cost to the county with a fee for the customer.
Matt Boren, Kosciusko Area Bus Service, told the board graphics for a vehicle were recently put on. The money to add the graphics came from federal funds.
Tobias Steffen, of Butler, Fairman and Seufert, gave a presentation to the commissioners in hopes of gaining a consultant job for the ongoing Old 30 project.
The county is required under the federal aid process to hire a consultant.
County Highway Superintendent Dennis Pletcher appeared before the commissioners with a request from William and his 6-year-old son Bryson Gribbons. They asked that CR 900E be changed to Turtle Way.
William said his son had the idea as a way to bring knowledge to the turtles living along that stretch of road. William said that there are at least eight species of turtles living there that he knows of and said there are more.
The commissioners decided to allow two signs of Turtle Way be put on the road without changing the name of the road.
The Gribbons also will put a sign along the road giving information about Turtle Way in hopes of cutting down on littering along the road. There also will be a sign on the side of the road letting people know the penalty for littering.
