Coroner Rules Hurley Death Feb. 13 From Natural Causes

The Kosciusko County Coroner's Office has ruled that Jeffrey Hurley, 39, Warsaw, died of natural causes. Hurley's death originally was suspected as a drug overdose.

Hurley died Feb. 13 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, after he was found unresponsive and not breathing in his residence. Initial reports indicated that his cause of death may have been a methamphetamine overdose.

Test results show that Hurley died from a hemorrhaged artery. The hemorrage was caused when blood to his heart began flowing underneath artery plaque, instead of above it as normal, the coroner's office said, and caused the artery to swell shut.
