The death of a 12-year-old Mentone girl is being attributed to a streptococcus bacterial infection resulting in bilateral pneumonia.
Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler released the cause of death today.
The victim, Ashleigh N. Bruner, of 106 W. Jackson Street, died Sunday following sudden illness.
She was a sixth-grader at Tippecanoe Valley Middle School.
