Jeff Noffsinger, Warsaw city planner, gave an update Monday on the Sofamor-Danek project at the Warsaw Redevelopment Commission meeting.
Noffsinger said the bid was awarded to HRP Construction of South Bend.
HRP will extend the water and sewage services into the area, Noffsinger said. He said the Warsaw Board of Works has not yet approved the contract, but the bid has already been awarded.
"The bid came in at $580,000, roughly," Noffsinger said.
He also said the money will come from the industrial development bond that was issued to Sofamor-Danek.
Noffsinger said other parties are interested in the sewer and water in the area on the west side of CR 150W and U.S. 30.
"It's gotta move quick," Noffsinger said. The date set for completion is July 1.
The Warsaw Redevelopment Commission includes: Neal Carlson, Tammy Rockey, Charlie Smith, Jerry Kralis and Bob Steele.
