Conley Seeking Re-election To County Commissioner Seat

Posted
Bob Conley announced his candidacy for his third term as Kosciusko County Commissioner in the May primary.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, Conley and his wife, Sue, have been married for 42 years. She teaches at Presby Pre-school in Warsaw.
They have three children: Nathan is an assistant vice president in commercial loans for Lake City Bank; Amanda is a first grade teacher at Claypool Elementary School and Nelson is a barber with his father at Bob & Nelson Conley Barbershop, Warsaw.
Conley attended Pierceton Elementary, Claypool Elementary and graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1969. He also graduated from National Barber College, Indianapolis.
Conley is currently an active Sheriff’s Department Reserve Officer and has been for 38 years, serving for the late John Hammersley, C. Al Rovenstine, Ron Robinson, C. Aaron Rovenstine, and currently William (Rocky) Goshert.
Conley started in 1975 attending numerous law enforcement classes and graduated from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Academy in 1977.
While working as a Sheriff's Reserve, he also assisted Milford and Mentone police departments when needed.
One of his satisfying accomplishments, he said, is working with the other two commissioners and department heads to keep Kosciusko County one of the most fiscally sound counties in the state.
While working with the Kosciusko County Economic Development Commission and small towns within the county, Conley said they have kept all Kosciusko County moving and developing, following what former commissioners have done well in the past, while never losing focus on fiduciary responsibilities to the people of Kosciusko County.
Conley is currently a member of the Warsaw Community Development Corporation and is a member of the Kosciusko County Solid Waste and Recycling board of directors.
Conley and his wife  attend Redeemer Lutheran Church in Warsaw where he has served as congregational president, chairman of the Board of Education and currently serves as a member of the Board of Elders.
Conley initiated the “Veteran of the Month Award” with the help of the veteran’s affairs officer and the other two commissioners. They recognize a veteran at the county commissioners’ first meeting of the month.
“It is a privilege to honor our county’s finest who have served our great nation,” Conley said.
Conley said he would appreciate the community’s continued support at the voting booth in the May primary and November general election.
Conley said his motto is, “I don't flip hamburgers or make milk shakes. All I have to offer is my service.”
