During a brief meeting of the Kosciusko County Commissioners this morning, an upcoming road closure was discussed.
Commissioner Bob Conley asked County Highway Superintendent Scott Tilden if a detour plan had been worked up when the Claypool Overpass (Ind. 15S and CR 700) closes for bridge repair in February.
Tilden said that the Indiana Department of Transportation hasn’t contacted the county as to what the detour plan will be.
The commissioners also approved a date for companies to bid on the county’s highway department supplies.
It was set for Nov. 7 at 9:15 a.m.
Tilden told the commissioners that his crews will be done chip sealing by Wednesday.
Crews have been working on paving EMS T lanes this week.
Work on Levi Lee Road involves putting in new pipe.
Tilden also told the commissioners that crews have two weeks of cold paving and two weeks of hot paving roads left.
The commissioners’ next meeting is Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. They meet in the old courtroom at the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
