Congressman Souder To Speak In Warsaw

U.S. Congressman Mark Souder will be in Warsaw to address the topics of health care and government spending.

Souder will speak March 8 at Center Lake Pavilion, 119 E. Canal St.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with light refreshments. The meeting will follow at 7 p.m. and conclude with a question-and-answer time.Kosciusko County Silent No More is hosting the evening with the congressman. The forum is open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The group is a grassroots organization that is designed for the purpose of standing for freedom and the Constitution.

The group meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High St., Warsaw, at 7 p.m.

Monica Boyer, Kosciusko County Silent No More president, said the forum will be a good time for Kosciusko County to get a close-up view of what is happening in Washington.

The group previously held Republican senator candidate forums at the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Republican senate candidates Don Bates Jr., John Hostettler and Richard Behney spoke at the forums.

The next forum is scheduled for Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. when Republican senator candidate Dr. Tom Haney, Leesburg, will speak.

The group previously held a Tea Party rally Nov. 21 when Bates Jr., Stutzman, Hostettler and Behney spoke at Lakeview Middle School. The rally was attended by approximately 1,600 people.

A senate primary candidate debate also is being planned for March 6 at Center Lake Pavilion, Warsaw, from 10 a.m. to noon. Bates Jr., Hostettler, Behney, Stutzman and Haney will speak at the debate.
