In his bid for re-election, Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer picked up the endorsement of Indiana 3rd District Congressman Jim Banks.
“I have learned that good government begins with electing good leaders. People with experience, integrity and commitment make the best leaders and for eight years as your mayor, Joe Thallemer has led Warsaw with distinction. I am proud to endorse his candidacy for re-election,” Banks said.
Having developed a trusted working relationship in his years as an Indiana senator and more recently as a Congressman, Mayor Thallemer said he is most appreciative of the commitment Banks has shown to the community, according to a news release.
“I am honored by Congressman Banks’ endorsement of my mayoral candidacy. His dedication to the citizens of Warsaw and Kosciusko County is evidence of his strong commitment to public service and it is an honor to have his support,” Thallemer said.
The 2019 municipal primary will be May 7. All cityvoting will be done at Center Lake Pavilion.
