Third District Congressional candidate Marlin Stutzman will speak in Warsaw this month.
Kosciusko Silent No More will host Stutzman (R-Howe) July 20 at 7 p.m. at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw.
Monica Boyer, Kosciusko Silent No More founder, said Stutzman's staff contacted her Wednesday inquiring if the group would be interested in hosting Stutzman.
Stutzman won the June 12 Republican congressional caucus in Columbia City defeating 14 other candidates. He faces Democrat Dr. Tom Hayhurst, Fort Wayne, in the Nov. 2 election.
During the July 20 event, Stutzman will speak about his run for Congress. There also will be a question and answer session to follow with refreshments and a meet-and-greet with Stutzman.
"The Silent No More group has endorsed Marlin and we are excited to hear from him and invite the public," Boyer said.
Boyer said the group also is working to bring U.S. Senate candidates Dan Coats (R-Fort Wayne) and Brad Ellsworth (D-Evansville) to Warsaw for a debate. The group also is working on a debate between Stutzman and Hayhurst.
Dates and times for the debates have not yet been set.
