New this year, Community Quiz Bowl teams will be able to answer questions electronically on an iPhone or iPod Touch using the application or "app" iResponse.
The Warsaw Education Foundation, with the help of the Warsaw Community Schools tech department, will demonstrate the technology at their Annual Community Quiz Bowl fundraiser Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the WCHS Tiger Den.
Nearly 40 teams will enter their answers to questions on "Academics", "2009 Year in Review"," The 1960s" and "Olympics" in real time and immediately find out their results and how well they're doing against other teams.
The community is invited to attend and cheer on their favorite Quiz Bowl team as well as participate in the Community Quiz Bowl Silent Auction. Items available for bidding include a Kindle Wireless Reader, golf lessons, a performance by 4 O'Clock Shadow barbershop quartet, writing tutoring sessions, original fused glass jewelry, watercolor painting lessons from Terry Armstrong, Splash Universe Indoor Water Park passes, and the opportunity to join Dr. Craig Hintz and be Superintendent for the Day at Warsaw Community Schools.
This year's "Honor Roll" level event sponsors are DePuy, Jansen Orthopaedic Clinic, Maple Leaf Farms, The Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation and Zimmer.
