CLAYPOOL – Trees are coming down and mosquitoes will die. The Town of Claypool will block off Calhoun Street from Graceland Avenue to Church Street in order for Paul Berkey to remove six trees. The area will be cordoned off Friday through Sunday. The Town Council Monday unanimously approved $8,350 for a new mosquito sprayer, which has been ordered. The council discussed the possibility of creating two new ordinances. Board President Niki Miller suggested an ordinance to prevent residents from leaving trash cans by the street for the entire week. The town marshal has gotten complaints about people riding ATVs in town, so he will research wording for a possible town ordinance. The council will hold an administration meeting at the Town Barn at 5 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the town’s budget for 2017.
