Civil War Letters To Be On Display At WCPL

Posted
Original Civil War letters from a Kosciusko County soldier were donated to the Genealogy Library of the Kosciusko County Historical Society.
The letters will be on display March 2 for visitors to view from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the jail museum library.
Presentations throughout the day will focus on “Who is in your Military family?”
The library is open to the public at no charge for those seeking help to identify their military member, or piece together when and where their soldier served.
Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, World War I or World War II governmental records provide information.
Library volunteers will be available to give tools to unfold the military mystery, grasp how facts fit into  family puzzles, and find pieces of the past with today’s technology.
At 1 p.m., members of the Daughters of the American Revolution will share, guide and lead people into the historical past and how to document your soldier.
Sally Nichols will share her story of women in service in WWII.
Don Nichols will share his WWII remembrances.
