Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety approved a contract that will allow the city to seek federal funds.
A $40,000 contract with Anchor Consulting was approved for the city to seek federal funds for grants for community enhancement such as rail enhancement and trails.
The consulting group will provide lobbying services to make its best effort to assist the city in the pursuit of its government affairs and business objectives.
Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer said he has spoken with Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry about bringing a rail system to the area.
Warsaw and Fort Wayne’s lobbyists will work together to keep the need for a rail system in the area in front of the National Railroad Association.
Anchor Consulting also worked with Grace College in their funding of the Orthopedic Capital Center.
