Warsaw City Council approved compliance review forms for tax abatements Monday during a special meeting.
The council approved compliance review forms for Whimet Inc., Spartech Plastics, Symmetry Medical USA Inc. and Winona PVD Coatings.
Whimet Inc., 2100 N. Detroit St., supplied their compliance form for their personal property. They originally estimated adding eight additional jobs, but have added 20 more employees than originally estimated on the statement of benefits form.
Spartech Plastics, 3454 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, supplied their compliance forms for real and personal property. They are currently in their fifth year of their 10- and six-year tax abatements and have hired four new employees.
Symmetry Medical, 486 W. CR 350N, Warsaw, was granted a 10-year tax abatement on personal and real property in fall 2005. They have estimated adding 20 additional jobs, and have currently hired seven new employees since filing in 2005.
