FORT WAYNE - The Churubusco man injured Sunday on Lake Wawasee has died.
Scott E. Coulter, 28, fell or jumped out of a boat anchored near the sand bar and suffered two broken vertebrae in his neck. He was transferred from Goshen General Hospital to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he died at 2:38 p.m. Monday.
Coulter's friends found him in about 3 feet of water approximately 15 feet from the boat. He was missing about 20 minutes before his friend's located him and dragged him to shore.
The accident was investigated by the Department of Natural Resources.
