Miller To Present Message
MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church invites the community to join them for worship on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message “Unwelcome Guests.” The scripture is Matthew 11:1-14.
The women’s Bible study meets Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m.
Feast & Fellowship is on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Join them for a light meal, fellowship, singing, informal worship and teaching. Feast & Fellowship follows the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation calendar.
On Monday, the worship team meets at 5:30 p.m.
All are welcome at Mentone United Methodist Church. They offer an early bird adult Sunday school class at 9 a.m. before worship service at 10:15 a.m. They are at 116 E. Main St., Mentone.

Burket Bible To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Christopher Columbus: Hero or Villain" from Romans 3:9-24.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. Lifewise classes are at Burket Bible Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

To Hold Events This Week
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Friday and Saturday, Wheels on Fire food booth will be at the Echoes of the Past Fall Festival in Claypool.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 9 a.m. or 10:31 a.m. with coffee and refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The church picnic is after the second service.
On Tuesday, the BDW meeting is at 9 a.m. The finance committee meeting is at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, the King's Kids program is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with supper at 6 p.m. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-old through fifth grade.

Community Bible Announces Services
Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, announced its services for this week.
Sunday school is at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship services are at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Wednesday prayer service is at 6 p.m.
On Oct. 25, the church will hold a talent show, with refreshments to follow. Sign-up sheets are in church lobby.

First Baptist To Celebrate 125 Years
PIERCETON – First Baptist Church of Pierceton will celebrate its 125th anniversary on Sunday. As part of the celebration, The Crosswalk Quartet will provide a music concert at 10:30 a.m. 
Historical items on display will include an original 1902 "Pierceton Record" newspaper with an article on the church's founding and its purchase of the Hayes Opera House, along with the original handwritten meeting notes from when the church officially organized on Sept. 26, 1901.

SPARC Meets Today
CLAYPOOL – Today, the children will enjoy 1-1/2 hours of SPARC at Claypool United Methodist Church after school.
On Sunday, Bible studies for all ages starts at 9:30 a.m. Fellowship time is held at 10:10 a.m. Worship hour starts at 10:30 a.m. The children have kids chat before they go to youth church during Pastor Diane Quance’s sermon “Learning to Listen“ as she speaks from James 1:19. Come join them as their listening skills hear how they can be improved. They plan to sing hymns and say prayers together. This time will be livestreamed on Facebook.
Warsaw First UMC will host a charge conference at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
On Wednesday, you’ll find the devotional group gathering at 4:30 p.m. and praise team will practice at 5:30 p.m.
The public is invited to the church’s fall festival Oct. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be pumpkin carving, a bounce house and a bonfire. Soup, bread and desserts will be provided You might want to bring your chair for sitting around the bonfire.

The No Name Quartet To Perform At The Palestine Bible Church
PALESTINE – The No Name Quartet will perform at Palestine Bible Church during “Friends Sunday” on Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. The No Name Quartet is a gospel music group known for their harmonious performances and devotion to singing about the Savior, performing together for over 20 years. The members of The No Name Quartet are Bob Jackson, Tim Yocum, Jeff Secaur and Mike Yocum.
Following the performance, attendees are invited to a church dinner hosted by Jim Meredith at his home one mile east of the church on Ind. 25.
