Christiansen Seeks Warsaw Clerk-Treasurer Seat

Incumbent Lynne Christiansen filed her candidacy today seeking the Republican nomination for clerk-treasurer for Warsaw.

Christiansen was elected to the position on Feb. 23, 2010, in a caucus to replace Elaine Call who resigned.

Previously, Christiansen was employed at the Warsaw Police Department for 26 years, initially as its parking control officer for several years before taking the position as records clerk.

A lifetime citizen of Warsaw, Christiansen is vested in the community and is concerned with the challenges facing the city from property tax caps.

"I want the City to provide quality services for our citizens in the most cost effective way possible, considering probable revenue shortfalls in the future," Christiansen said.

"I have learned a lot in my first year as clerk-treasurer and I wish to continue on in my position by serving the citizens with courteous, prompt, and transparent service."

Christiansen said she has a dedicated well-informed staff that she enjoys working with every day.

A graduate of Goshen College with a degree in Organizational Leadership, Christiansen is a member of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerk Treasurers and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

She also is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw, and has served on several mission trips.
