Emily Chapman hopes to bring the same level of service to Chapman Jewelers as previous generations have.
Chapman Jewelers first opened in 1969 in Wabash by Emily's grandparents, Barb and Bob Chapman.
The business was brought to Warsaw in 1982 and was originally located downtown. It was ran by Emily's father, Bob, before he passed away in 1999.
Now it's Emily's turn to re-open Chapman Jewelers in Warsaw with her own twist.
Customers can get their first look at the new Chapman Jewelers Tuesday when it opens at its new location, 1922 E. Center St., Warsaw.
The stores hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, but those hours will be extended after Thanksgiving for the holiday shopping season.
The two-story building will feature a 900-square-foot retail space on the first floor.
From classic pieces to one-of-a-kind, Chapman said she will carry a variety of jewelry.
That includes unique gift lines as well as bridal item like engagement rings and wedding bands.
Chapman earned her knowledge early on saying that being in the jewelry business has always been in her blood.
That continued as she attended and graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in California.
She then spent eight years in Indianapolis working for high-end jeweler G. Tharpp Jewelers in the Meridian-Kessler section of Indianapolis.
"This has always been a dream of mine," said Chapman of opening up her own space. "It's in my blood."Chapman said her low overhead allows for competitive pricing and that her business brings something unique to the area.
