A change of venue has been denied a North Webster mother charged in connection with her child's death.
Kristina Crooks, 19, of 7280 E. Blacks Trailer Court, North Webster, will be tried on felony charges of reckless homicide and neglect of a dependent. That decision was handed down this morning by Kosciusko County Circuit Court Judge Rex Reed.
The court had taken the motion for a change of venue into consideration Thursday.
Crooks reportedly found her 11-month-old daughter dead the morning of Jan. 24. Toxicology and autopsy reports later found the child had ingested six cigarettes and had Valium in her blood.
