A caucus will be held tonight to select a clerk-treasurer to replace Elaine Call.
The caucus will be at 7 p.m. at city hall.
Call announced during the Jan. 19 city council meeting that she is resigning to spend more time with her grandchildren and family. Call will continue to serve until March 5 to complete year-end annual reports.
Each candidate will have three minutes to speak about their background and qualifications for the job, according to Randy Girod, Kosciusko County Republican chairman.
Republican precinct committeemen and women whose precincts are located within Warsaw city limits will select the new clerk-treasurer.
The deadline to file for declaration of candidacy was Saturday at 7 p.m.
Candidates for the seat include current At-Large Warsaw City Councilman Kyle Babcock, Warsaw Police Department Records Clerk Lynne Christiansen and Kosciusko County Chief Deputy Recorder LaShawn Brumfield.
