When eight gentlemen served by Cardinal Services move into their new home on Parker Street later this month, they will notice many changes from their old home.
Among them will be new appliances and some furniture as well. All were purchased through a $7,500 grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
The KCCF grant provided the new duplex home with two refrigerators, two stoves, a washer and two dryers, two dining room tables and a nightstand for each of the four bedrooms.
“We are tremendously grateful for the foundation’s support,” said Cardinal CEO Jane Wear. “Their gift truly improves the quality of life for the residents of this home.”
Cardinal Services operates 15 residential group homes, nine in Kosciusko County. Each is home to eight individuals with intellectual disabilities.
