The Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund Charity Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 7 at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.

"Entry forms are in the mail," according to chairman of the golf committee, Ron Smock.

Past participants in the golf outing will receive entry forms. Those who have not participated in the past but who are interested in participating this year may contact Ron Smock at 834-7681 or 453-8588 for an entry form and more information.

This year's format will be scramble/four-player teams. Divisions include men's, women's and mixed. Participants may choose from a morning or afternoon start time. Each start time is limited to the first 30 teams.

Net proceeds from the committee's fund-raising activities support cancer research and local assistance for cancer patients. Last year's activities raised $40,000 for research and more than $56,000 in direct assistance to cancer patients in Kosciusko County.

The mission of the Cancer Care Fund is to ease the worries of struggling cancer patients as they undergo expensive treatments and care. For more information about the cancer care fund, contact Holly Roberts at the K21 Foundation, 269-5188.
