The 2006 Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund Gala will be Saturday at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.
A variety of items have been donated for the silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event go to help local patients during their fight against cancer. The KCCCF is comprised of volunteers and gives 100 percent of the money raised each year to cancer patients in the Kosciusko County area. No funds go to administration fees or outside this area.
In 2006, the KCCCF raised more than $160,000 in net proceeds. The funds are distributed through the K21 Foundation.
Money is raised by corporate sponsors, private donations, a fashion show, golf outing, other fundraising activities and the annual gala.
The Gala will culminate the fundraising weekend Saturday at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, starting with hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and dancing at 8:30 p.m. The live auction will start at 7:40 p.m.
