Cancer Care Fund 'Black And White' Evening Planned

Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County has planned its “Black and White: An Evening of Elegance” for this month. The event is a fundraiser for the organization and will be at 6 p.m. May 21 at Oakwood Resort Event Center, Syracuse. “We want to help raise money to assist those battling cancer,” said Ron Smock, event co-chair. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling 574-269-5188 or registering at cancercarefundkc.org There will be a cocktail reception, silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, a shopping experience; and a fashion show with models showcasing clothing from Glam, Warsaw, and Satori, North Webster. Last year $7,500 was raised for the Cancer Care Fund, and this year’s goal is $10,000. The fund assists those battling cancer with rent, food, gas and other needed amenities.
