BOW Approves Purchase Of Three Police Vehicles

Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety Friday approved quotes for the purchase of three vehicles for Warsaw Police Department.
The board approved a $28,310 quote from Lakeside Chevrolet for the purchase of a 2015 Caprice; a $34,806 quote from Lakeside for a 2015 Tahoe; and a $32,215 quote from Kelley Chevrolet for a Tahoe.
The board also approved a $2,000 contact with the band After Midnight to be the opener for the Classic Rock Concert June 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Central Park. The board previously approved a contract with classic rock group “Kansas” to be the headliner, who will perform at 8 p.m.
The board approved Emily Woodill to be the country music concert opener to perform July 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Central Park. The board previously approved country musicians Wade Hayes, Bryan White and Mark Wills to perform July 24 at 8 p.m. at Central Park as the country music concert headliner.
The board also approved a $7,826 quote with Ideal Construction for replacing the steel roof at the Warsaw Municipal Airport that is almost 30 years old and is rusting.
The board also approved:
• A $385 contract between Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Territory and Elliott’s Heating and Air Conditioning for heating and cooling maintenance for the fire territory.
• A $181,669 contract between Warsaw Wastewater Utility Department and Wessler Engineering for a wastewater collection system reduction program.
• A $4,276.40 payment to Indiana Department of Transportation for engineering services for the Husky Trail project.
• An agreement not to exceed $9,000 for A & Z Engineering for Market Street construction administration services.
• A $3,905 contract between Signature Tree Company and Warsaw Parks Department for spraying of the Maple trees at Center and Pike lakes and Central Park for cottony cushion maple scale disease prevention.
• The city accepting a $5,353.34 grant from Kosciusko County Community Foundation for the 2015 Summer Central Park Concert Series.
• An agreement between Warsaw Community Schools and the city to use Lakeview Middle School and the Tiger Den as rain locations for Warsaw Parks Department’s summer concerts series.
• An agreement between the city and Showstoppers Event Cancellation for event cancellation insurance for the classic rock and country concerts.
• A $1,237.33 contract with Wyndham Garden Hotel for concert hotel accommodations for the classic rock and country concerts.
• Warsaw Street Department seeking quotes for cab and chassis.
• Hooked On Sales Inc. receiving a city resident itinerant merchant fee of $5 a day. The organization is a national contractor for Comcast and Grace College students to do part-time work for the company.
• An agreement between the city and Google Apps For Government for the email system that will allow city employees to do off-site file storage.
