Bourbon Man Injured In Accident Near GoshenGOSHEN?– A Bourbon man was one of two people injured Thursday night near Goshen when the vehicle they were passengers in went off the road and ended up on its roof.
Kyle Whiteman, 30, Bourbon, suffered cuts to a hand, arm and his head and face. He was taken by ambulance to Goshen Hospital.
The other passenger in the 2003 Toyota 4Runner, Ryan Haerrick, 30, Fort Wayne, suffered injuries to his head, neck and back. He was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Neither Whiteman or Haerrick were wearing seatbelts.
The accident happened at about 10:49 p.m. Thursday 4 miles south of the city limits of Goshen on CR 21, south of CR 146, according to an Elkhart County crash news release.
Anthony Faucett, 30, Plymouth, was driving the 4Runner south on CR 21 south of CR 146. The release states Faucett was driving too fast for conditions, ran off the road, hit a mailbox and utility pole, causing the vehicle to flip onto its roof.
He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
