Staff Report-
Big Brothers Big Sisters wrapped up its BIG 300 Dash recruitment campaign in Kosciusko County on Aug. 12.
Aimed at increasing the number of adult mentors throughout the county, the campaign encouraged volunteers, staff and supporters to spread the word about the 33 young people waiting to be matched in Kosciusko County.
Over the course of three months, Big Brothers Big Sisters successfully achieved its campaign goals in support of the Kosciusko youth.
BIG 300 Dash! targeted the entire Kosciusko community – especially current Big Brothers or Big Sisters (“Bigs”) – to gather referrals for family members or friends to join the mentorship program.
Campaign totals tally 336 new adult mentors in Northeast Indiana, with a large portion of referrals from the Kosciusko area. Big Brothers Big Sisters thanks all who helped recruit such a large number of new adult mentors. Thanks to the dedication of all the Dash participants, youth all over Kosciusko will be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister. To celebrate this campaign success, the agency will hold an event on Oct. 25 at Do It Best in Fort Wayne.
