Beef-A-Roo served customers in Warsaw for the first time on Friday.
Its 408 N. Detroit St. location had a soft opening starting at 10 a.m.
One of the first customers there was Ellie Goble of Warsaw, who came with her son.
It was her first time at a Beef-A-Roo.
“I’m kind of tired of all of the other options that Warsaw has, so (I wanted to try) something new,” she said.
Her son planned to order the Wild West Beef sandwich, with her opting for chicken strips.

“I’m excited to have something different, something completely different in town,” she said.
Also eating at the restaurant were Jeri Melcher and her husband of Warsaw.
“We were curious of what they had and … the cost related to Arby’s and Wendy’s,” she said.
She said they ordered onion rings and a double cheeseburger.
Beef-A-Roo’s menu includes chicken sandwiches and strips, various burgers, roast beef and other meat sandwiches, wraps, baked potatoes, salads, french fries, onion rings, cookies and brownies. Drinks include pop, milkshakes and malts.
There are also various Buckaroo Meals for kids.
In a press release sent by Beef-A-Roo on Friday, its CEO Jeff Love said the company was “thrilled to bring Beef-a-Roo to Warsaw and share our passion for great food with this vibrant community.”
“This new restaurant will reflect everything our guests love – delicious food, friendly service, and a warm, local feel,” he added in the release.
The release also stated: “The local team looks forward to hosting the community with a great grand-opening celebration in the weeks to come.”
Beef-A-Roo also plans to open at 2401 E. Center St., Warsaw, the site of a former Penguin Point location like the Detroit Street one. A date for that location’s opening hasn’t been announced yet.
