Banning Began New Message Series

Posted

ATWOOD – Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning began a new message series last Sunday titled “Evangelism: Living the Gospel Out Loud.”
In this series they will explore how they, as Christians, are called to make disciples of all people. They are encouraged to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ with others.
This summer’s Vacation Bible School, “Rainforest Falls,” will take place at and in partnership with the Leesburg Methodist Church on July 19 to July 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. More information is available at both church offices, and all area children are encouraged to participate.
The Sisterhood in Faith annual bus trip scheduled for Aug. 5 still has room for a few more to travel with them to the Indianapolis area. They will visit Benjamin Harrison’s presidential home and enjoy lunch at the Slippery Noodle Inn. Afterwards they will tour the Scottish Rite Cathedral and end they tour serenaded by the Old World Gondoliers as they relax on the canal and learn about the city’s history and buildings. A stop at the Wilson’s Farm Market will wind down their journey on the way home. Reservation forms may be downloaded from the church’s Facebook page and websites.
The congregation’s second parsonage campfire will be held on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. Bring your own meat to cook over the open fire, lawn chairs, table service and a dish to share.
The movie “Route 60 The Biblical Highway” will be shown June 21, following the morning’s service and fellowship time. All are invited to attend.
