Atwood Man Dies From Injuries In Industrial Accident

An Atwood man died Sunday after an industrial accident at Creighton Brothers Sept. 10. According to the Allen County Coroner’s Office, Kevin Lee Klinger, 51, was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after falling at his workplace just after noon. Klinger died in the hospital four days later of blunt force trauma as a result of the accident. A public relations specialist with the Indiana Department of Labor said the department received notification of the fatality and has initiated an investigation. While the department has six months to complete the investigation, the specialist said it normally takes two to three months. The department will not discuss the details of the investigation while it is ongoing. Ron Truex, president of Creighton Brothers, said Klinger did fall and that he is aware of the Indiana Department of Labor’s inquiries. “We are cooperating in the investigation,” Truex said.
