Area Wedding Businesses Meet for Lunch

SYRACUSE – Wedding Business Professionals networking group met Friday at the Channel Marker restaurant for their monthly luncheon.
The group is designed to bring those who work in the wedding industry in any capacity together.
Ashley Stills owns and operates Tommy Vance Productions.
She also put on the bridal expo at the Orthopedic Capital Center on the campus of Grace College.
That’s where the idea of starting a networking group began.
“I thought it’d be neat for a group of wedding professionals to get together,” said Still. “We could network, grow and learn from each other.”
Typiecally there are around 10 professionals at a monthly luncheon.
With June and July being the prime months for weddings, attendance has been a little smaller in those months.

Also at Friday’s luncheon were Hope Lauster, Elizabeth Plank, Melissa Jordan, Cristal Brewer, Megan Carr and Pat Henson.
Lauster runs Red Stiletto. It specializes in on-site hair and cosmetic artistry.

She mainly focuses on weddings but also does family portraits and senior photos.
