'It's not enough to be good, be good for something!' That's the motto of Mamie L Bass, Altrusa founder, as quoted in 1921. Warsaw Altrusa Club members are 'good for something.' They founded the Beaman Home, and regularily volunteer there; began the Court Appointed Special Advocate program; and donate to several charities throughout the county. The 30 women also sponsor Project Independence through CCS and volunteer as Mobile Meals drivers. Each year the club awards three $500 scholarships to assist young adults in education.
