Alcohol Board Transfers Pamida License to Shopko

Posted
Kosciusko Alcoholic Beverage Commission members approved a liquor license transfer and 10 license renewals without violations during a brief meeting Thursday.

Among businesses renewed was Pamida in Syracuse. The board then approved transfer of that license to Shopko Hometown, which is taking ownership of all Pamida stores.

Dale Kovarik, a manager with the company, told the commission he isn’t sure if any other Shopkos in the state have liquor licenses, but there apparently are none.

He also said they will be slightly changing the layout of the store at 1101 Indiana Avenue, but that beer and wine will still be kept far from the door.

Also renewed without violation were:

– Circle K, 606 N. Main St., North Webster
– McClure Oil #55, 311 S. Huntington St., Syracuse
– Lance’s New Market, 306 S. Main St., North Webster
