An air show and Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in will be at the Warsaw Municipal Airport Aug. 17. The rain date for the air show is Aug 24. Alan Hoover, Historic Flights Foundation, is the event organizer. “Our focus is to energize our community and youth and give them the opportunity to take airplane rides and meet pilots,” Hoover said. Events scheduled are a sky diver dropping in with the American flag, an hour long acrobatic air show from 1 to 2 p.m., a fly-in from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and ML Motor Sports Driver Johanna Long will be on hand with her No. 70 car. Long will sign autographs and drive her racecar. Local food vendors will be present and Rudy's Dog Park will be grilling out as a fundraiser. There will be air plane rides (a Cessna, a PT26, and a T6) for a minimal fee. There will be free admission for this community event. Primary sponsors are: Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation Inc., Biomet and DePuy Synthes.
