8WW Cuisines in Warsaw has been open for several months now.
And now they have their own beer, wine and liquor license.
Previously operating under the license of the former business at the 115 S. Buffalo St. location, owners Dudley Allen and Toron Wilson were on hand at Wednesday's Alcohol Beverage Commission meeting to get their own.
The board approved the renewal of the old license and the transfer of ownership from Fusion Restaurant to 8WW.
James Hampton, part owner of Hammers Pub and Grub, Syracuse, was granted a transfer of ownership to him from the previous owners.
Hampton had checked yes on his application when it asks if the applicant has ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor.
Hampton said those incidents were as a result of "doing some stupid things when I was younger."
Hampton said he has since turned his life around, started a family and is now part owner of Hammers.
Board member Elim Smith told Hampton he was pleased that he turned his life around and that he was in favor of giving people second chances.
The board then unanimously approved the transfer of ownership.
The Barbee Landing was approved for a renewal with no violations as well as transfer of stock.
Joel Stein, president of the Barbee Landing, explained to the board that when he originally set out to purchase the establishment he was going to have a business partner. That partner withdrew so he was just transferring the stock to show his sole ownership.
The board also approved a renewal with no violations to The Old Depot in Pierceton.
At the end of the meeting, excise officer April Tackett clarified that parents can't bring infants or babies into a liquor store and that small children aren't exempted from the law that prohibits anyone under 21 from going to a liquor store.
Tackett said she obviously doesn't want someone to leave their children in a car, but that perhaps people should plan ahead before making a trip to the liquor store.
