The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force arrested seven people across the county on drug charges Tuesday and have active warrants for six others.
Jason Halsey, 29, of 9485 Ind. 13N, Syracuse, was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine and is held on a $20,000 bond; Marek Jarski, 49, of 11314 N.E. Wawasee Drive, Syracuse, was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine and a schedule 2 controlled substance, and is held on a $30,000 bond; Jeri E. Nyce, 18, of 1409 Workman Drive, Syracuse, was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine and is held on a $20,000 bond.
Melanie Wallen, 32, of 3100 Frontage Road, Warsaw, was arrested for dealing in a schedule 2 controlled substance and is being held on a $10,000 bond; Daniel Scott Williams, 19, of 473 E. CR 600S, Claypool, was arrested for dealing a schedule 2 controlled substance and marijuana and is held on a $10,000 bond.
Max Wray, 46, of 409 E. Epworth Forest Road, North Webster, was arrested for dealing marijuana and is held on a $2,000 bond; Frumenico Ramirez, 42, of 319 S. Indiana St., Warsaw, was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine and in held on a $40,000 bond.
Individuals charged with dealing in schedule 2 controlled substances reportedly sold prescription narcotics, including OxyContin and hydrocodone, to undercover officers.
According to police, the arrests followed a two-month investigation by the drug task force. Undercover officers reportedly purchased prescription pills, marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine from 11 of the 13 people involved.
Police are still looking for Leonard Nicholson, 35, Warsaw, for possession of marijuana; Steve Sidwell, 31, Cromwell, for possession of methamphetamine; Travis Johnson, 26, Syracuse, for dealing in methamphetamine and a schedule 2 controlled substance; and Juan H. Coronado, also known as Robert Castillo, 26, Warsaw, for dealing in cocaine.
Terry Lee Sabo, 44, and April Browning, 25, both of Warsaw, are wanted for dealing in marijuana. In early February, after receiving tips, officers searched their residence and discovered large amounts of marijuana and items associated with its cultivation.
