Five people, including three juveniles, were injured in a one-vehicle crash on Monday.
At 6:56 p.m. Monday, emergency personnel were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision on CR 350N at Riverlawn Drive, according to a news release from the Warsaw Police Department.
The preliminary results of the investigation indicate Chloe Christian, 19, Milford, was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy east of the scene of the crash. After traveling west over railroad tracks, Christian lost control of the Envoy, which left the south side of the road. The Envoy then hit a utility pole, causing heavy front-end damage.
Christian; passenger Isabelle Basham, 18, of Warsaw; and two juvenile passengers were taken by ambulance to area hospitals for treatment, the release states. A minor occupant was airlifted from the scene via Lutheran Air Ambulance due to serious injuries suffered upon being ejected from the Envoy.
Along with WPD and Lutheran Air Ambulance, responding agencies included Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Lutheran EMS.
