Two people were sent to the hospital Friday afternoon as a result of a three-vehicle accident north of Pierceton.
Officers responded to the area of Ind. 13 and Shoop Road north of Pierceton Friday at 2:31 p.m. after receiving a 911 call of a personal injury crash, according to Chad Hill, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department public information officer.
Deputies determined that a Chevy pickup truck driving southbound on Ind. 13 crossed the centerline, sideswiping a northbound Ford Ranger pickup.
The Chevy pickup truck continued southbound, striking a Pontiac head-on and came to a rest.
The driver of the Pontiac was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with a possible fracture to her arm.The driver of the Ford pickup truck refused medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the Chevy pickup truck was transported to KCH with minor injuries.
Officers have not yet released the names of the drivers involved as the crash is still under investigation pending blood draw results from the driver of the Chevy pickup truck.
KCSD deputies were assisted at the scene by Multi-Township EMS and Pierceton Fire and Police Departments.
