Posted

WOODVILLE, Wis. - Two Warsaw women were killed in a Sunday afternoon auto accident near the Wisconsin-Minnesota border.

Mary E. Cundiff and Danita R. Peterson, both 59, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities said Cundiff was driving the car when she apparently lost control of the vehicle. The car left the road and rolled once into the median on Interstate 94, 25 miles east of the Minnesota state line.

Wisconsion State Patrol Sgt. Steve Tape said the women were en route back to Warsaw after visiting Cundiff's brother in North Dakota.

Both women were wearing seatbelts and remained in the vehicle after the accident, police said.
